Time to reboot!

A friend asked me today if I'd read anything good recently. And I know I have, but can't remember what it was.

So, Thanksgiving is over, December has come and gone, and we're almost halfway into January. Normal life can resume. Please, everybody, tell  me something to read!!

  1. I just read Ancestor Stones by Aminatta Forna, a novel about four sisters' lives in Sierra Leone and really liked it. Now I'm about halfway through the second of the Earthsea books (since Pat mentioned Ursula Le Guin a while back) and am finding them a fun, quick read.

  2. Sorry, just checked the blog for the first time in a long time. I am planning to read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. My brother recommended it highly, and it's also high on Amazon's rating and was an Inquirer pick.

Rachel, I loved the Earthsea trilogy when I was a teen (I read everything by LeGuin). I recently read them aloud to my teenager, and enjoyed them again (although not as much as I remember).
